GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Information Technology Supervisor is required to lead organizational, strategic, and operational planning, organize and manage the development, operation, and maintenance of the ICT resources and infrastructure of the Credit Union.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The incumbent is expected to:
• manage the delivery of its ICT projects, under the direction of the General Manager or designated officer.
• Keep abreast of new methods and trends in ICT technology and products to advance the Credit Union’s ICT capability.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or designated officer.
• Ensuring that the Security and Tactical operating processes, procedures, and standards are aligned to secure and protect the information.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads and manages medium-scale ICT projects and ensures quality in delivery and timeliness.
• Assisting with the coordination of information security incident response and reporting for events or exploited vulnerabilities, including unauthorized system or network access, denial of service, inappropriate data access, data corruption, and/or collection of private or confidential information.
• Manage strategies to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Credit Union’s information systems and, when necessary, to ensure the restoration of such information systems.
• Monitors the implementation of the ICT vision, policy, and strategic plan to ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and the overall information management strategy.
• Manages the selection, implementation, operations, and evaluation of information security controls and performs and supports day-to-day security/cyber security monitoring using security information and event management (SIEM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint solution, IDS/IPS, and other malware detection software.
• Monitoring computer networks for security issues, installing security measures, and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Collaborating with the ICT team to perform network tests and resolving identified vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
• Assesses the Credit Union’s need for ICT services, researching and staying up-to-date on information technology trends, security standards, and enhancements, and making recommendations to the Credit Union’s management for the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions in meeting these needs.
• Engage stakeholders in the planning and implementation of change needed for effective use of the ICT services and coordinating with various vendors on the evaluation of security technologies.
• Provides technical management of the ICT operations and ensures that the Credit Union’s agreed service levels and data integrity requirements are met, and that all relevant procedures are adhered to, and assists with staff training.
• Assesses and addresses user requirements, provides advice and recommendations, and takes action to ensure that ICT solutions are properly understood and appropriately utilized.
• Maintains the policy, standards, and procedures for information security, and monitors the application and compliance of information security operations procedures.
• Maintains an information security risk register and assists with internal and external audits relating to information security.
• Performs vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.
• Develops the IT budget, facilitates procurement of IT hardware and software for the Credit Union, and monitors IT budgetary expenditure.
• Oversee installations, migrations, upgrades, relocations, and retirement of IT equipment.
• Establish and ensure maintenance of a "help desk" to help with problems related to computer services and/or equipment. This includes tracking calls, follow-up, and preparing written reports.
• Implement Cloud-based Services.
• Identify the possible impact/usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) where applicable.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related area.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing at a Management Level, including at least one (1) year of evidence of training and experience in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, and the development, implementation,n and operation of enterprise-wide ICT systems.
• Certifications from a related cybersecurity professional body, e.g., CISM, CISA, CISSP, experience in management, deployment, and maintenance of security infrastructure, and effectively managing vendors and working in cross-functional teams will be an asset.
• Evidence of networking, information security, or database management qualifications.
• Knowledge of the digitization, coding,g and e-archiving of organizational records.
• Knowledge and experience in project management, including the ability to manage time well, prioritise effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.
• Working knowledge of ICT Systems (networks, servers, clients, business applications, web-based applications, cloud computing, etc.) and emerging trends.
• Working knowledge of application development, Internet protocols, and Database Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of business theories, business continuity, business process development, governance processes, business management, budgeting, and administrative operations.
• General knowledge of information security standards such as ISO 27001/2/17, NIST 800-53, or NIST cybersecurity framework.
• Sound knowledge of and experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
• Sound understanding of firewalls, proxies, security information and event management (SIEM), antivirus, and intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS) concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and contract monitoring.
• The ability to build and manage client relationships within the IT Industry.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of systems such as Credit Union Financial Regulations, Financial Systems, Security Systems, Asset Management, etc., will be an asset.
