JOB SUMMARY:

Provide support to the Assistant Manager, Collections by rehabilitating all delinquent accounts by the recovery of funds where tardiness and/or non-payment arise over the course of repayment of the loan facility; to ensure that legal action is pursued where necessary.

·         5 CXC O’ Level subjects

·         2 A’ Levels and/or Certificate or Diploma in Business Management or related discipline describe or related combination of qualification and experience.

·         Certification in Credit Management/Debt Collection Techniques

Attends to any portfolio as may be assigned by Management and prepares progress reports; Monitor and Manage designated portfolio to attain the established targets

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of reports to external agencies, e.g. Home Mortgage Bank (HMB)

Contacts delinquent mortgagors by letter/telephone and discuss arrangements to reduce the arrears

Recommend accounts for rescheduling, moratorium of principal, payment arrangements, account restricting and repurchase from external agencies (HMB)

Liaises with other departments such as Banks, Attorneys, External Debt Collectors and Site Inspectors at various stages of the Recovery process
